Global KU Scholarship Program 2024 at Korea University

Korea University (KU) has a rich legacy of contributing to society through education, and in celebration of its centennial in 2005, it established the Global KU Scholarship Program. This prestigious scholarship aims to support future global leaders from around the world in pursuing their studies at Korea University.

Scholarship Types and Eligibility

1. Global KU Scholarship is applicable only to students who are nominated through University Level Agreements.
2. The scholarship is open to new exchange students (for the first semester) and continuing exchange students (for the second semester).
3. The scholarship also extends to visiting students participating in a one-year program at the university-wide level.

Scholarship Amounts

• First Semester at KU:
  • Admission Scholarship: Ranges from KRW 100,000 up to KRW 1,600,000.
  • Travel Scholarship: Ranges from KRW 100,000 up to KRW 1,500,000.
• Second Semester at KU:
  • Merit Scholarship: Awarded based on academic merit during the first semester at Korea University. Amount: KRW 1,200,000.

Application Process

1. Required Documents:
   • Global KU scholarship application form.
   • One passport-sized photograph (attached to the application form).
   • Letter of recommendation (from someone who can support your academic performance).
2. All documents must be written in English. If the original documents are in another language, please provide English translations.
3. The Awards Committee considers various factors, including academic performance, geographic diversity, and strategic considerations.
4. Application Deadlines:
   • Semester 1 (Spring): January 30
   • Semester 2 (Fall): July 30
