Funding and Scholarships at ISU

The International Space University scholarships are available to selected applicants based on their academic and professional merit, covering a portion of their tuition fees.

1. Scholarships for Master’s Degree Program and SSP:

   • Scholarship Coverage: These scholarships cover at least 50% of tuition fees.
   • Additional Tuition Support: ISU also grants tuition support. Participants can request a fee waiver at the program’s start, with a flexible payback scheme when financial conditions allow.
2. Country-Specific Scholarships:
   • France (CNES): Partial scholarships available for French candidates.
   • ESA Member States: Partial scholarships for citizens of ESA member states.
   • Italy (ASI): One MSS scholarship and three SSP scholarships for Italian candidates.
   • United States (AAS): A $10,000 scholarship (limited to US citizens, with preference given to AAS and SEDS-USA members).
   • United Kingdom (UK Space Agency): Several scholarships available for SSP and MSS.
   • Catalonia (NewSpace Catalonia): Three SSP scholarships for candidates studying or recently studying in Catalonia.
3. Other Sources of Support:
   • SSPI: Scholarships for pursuing education in satellite-related disciplines.

• Application Deadline: April 30, 2024
• Description: ISU, in partnership with ASPACE Satellite Technology Limited (ASPACE) and the Space Generation Advisory Council (SGAC), offers a full scholarship for the Master of Space Studies (MSS) program.
• Eligibility: One individual living in Africa with African nationality.
• Award: The scholarship fully covers the tuition fee for the one-year MSS program.
• Program Overview: The MSS program provides interdisciplinary knowledge and skills for success in the evolving space sector. Graduates gain expertise in space engineering, applications, exploration, and space policies. Entrepreneurial aspects and project management techniques are also emphasized.
• Application Requirements:
  • Proficiency in English.
  • Bachelor’s degree (technical or non-technical) obtained or about to be obtained by August 2024.
  • Documents: Resume (including SGAC contributions), a 500-word essay on motivation, and copies of diplomas and transcripts.
