Fishing is an enjoyable and peaceful activity that may also be used to educate children about nature. Bring the entire family out for a wonderful day outdoors, finishing with a picnic or braai. Here are a few spots in Cape Town where youngsters may fish and release their catch.
Rooikrans

Fishing is greatest in Cape Town and South Africa. The Rooikrans rock ledges, located near Cape Point, are among some of the greatest fishing spots in the world. Blacktail, Kob, Galjoen, & Yellowtail are often caught. Rooikrans is not an excellent area to start fishing if you have never done it before. The cliffs make it difficult to land fish, so more than one fisherman ended up in the ocean after being swept off the rocks by a large wave.
Kommetjie Bay

Even while fishing along the coast is excellent, particularly when the Barracouta/Cape Snoek begins their winter run, going to sea will give you a nice workout with your rod and reel. Tuna, Albacore, Black Marlin, or Mako Sharks will cause your line to fly off the spool fast. Do yourself a favor and book a fishing charter in Cape Town.
