Father, in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ, tonight I come under the covering of your word in Psalm 23. Lord, you are my shepherd, so I shall not want, even in the stillness of this night. Let your fire surround my life tonight, in the mighty name of Jesus.
Your word says, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.” Father, tonight I walk under that assurance. Every shadow trying to loom over my rest, every spirit of terror, every dark suggestion whispered into my sleep, scatter now by fire in Jesus’ mighty name.
Lord Jesus, let your rod and your staff stand guard over this home tonight — at every entrance, every window, and every space where my family lays their heads. Let no predator, seen or unseen, come near this house. Let no harm touch this family.
Your word says, “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.” Father, every table the enemy has set to trap me, overturn it tonight by the power of the Holy Ghost. Every scheme prepared in secret against my peace, catch fire now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
I plead the blood of Jesus over my spirit, my soul, and my body. I plead the blood of Jesus over my children, my home, my provision, and my calling. Every spirit of lack, every spirit of unrest, every spirit of quiet danger moving tonight, leave now in the name of Jesus.
Father, let your green pastures settle over my mind tonight. Every weariness I carried through this day, I release it into your hands. Let every troubled place in me lie down beside your still waters.
Your word says, “He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” Lord, restore what this day has drained from me. Lead my thoughts back to your peace before I sleep.
As I rest tonight, shepherd what I cannot shepherd. Watch over what I cannot watch. Go ahead of me into tomorrow and lead it with goodness, mercy, direction, and open doors.
I declare tonight that goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. My home is guarded. My family is kept. My tomorrow is already prepared in Christ Jesus.
Thank you, Father, for you neither sleep nor slumber, and you shepherd me even through the darkest hour of night.
