Father, in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ, tonight I come under the covering of your word in Psalm Sixty-One. Lord, lead me to the rock that is higher than I, for my heart is overwhelmed and I need your shelter tonight. Let your fire surround my life tonight, in the mighty name of Jesus.
Your word says, “For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.” Father, tonight I run into that tower. Every enemy pressing against my peace, every spirit of overwhelm, every voice trying to shout louder than your promises, scatter now by fire in Jesus’ mighty name.
Lord Jesus, let your strong tower stand over this home tonight — surrounding every wall, every door, and every heart resting within it. Let no assault reach this family. Let no weapon find its target here.
Your word says, “I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings.” Father, every hidden thing forming against me and my household, be brought into the light and destroyed tonight by the power of the Holy Ghost. Every quiet attack aimed at my peace, catch fire now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
I plead the blood of Jesus over my heart, my mind, and my body. I plead the blood of Jesus over my family, my home, my finances, and my calling. Every spirit of overwhelm, every spirit of exhaustion, every spirit of hidden danger moving tonight, leave now in the name of Jesus.
Father, let your shelter settle over my spirit tonight. Every weight I carried through this day, I release it into your hands. Let every overwhelmed place in me find rest under your wings.
Your word says, “So will I sing praise unto thy name for ever, that I may daily perform my vows.” Lord, let praise rise in me even in this tired hour. Let my trust be louder than my exhaustion tonight.
As I sleep, shelter what I cannot shelter. Strengthen what I cannot strengthen. Go ahead of me into tomorrow and meet me there with rest, clarity, provision, and renewed strength.
I declare tonight that I will abide under your covering and rise refreshed. No overwhelm shall have the final word. My home is sheltered. My family is kept. My tomorrow is already secured in Christ Jesus.
Thank you, Father, for you neither sleep nor slumber, and you remain my strong tower through every hour of the night.
In Jesus’ mighty name, amen.
