I’m always astounded by how lovely this state is and how many holidays I can go with my family. California is among the greatest vacation destinations for families. It offers 840 kilometers of magnificent coastline, stunning snow-capped mountains, and some of the world’s top amusement parks.
It’s not difficult to locate enjoyable activities; the difficult part is picking where to stay. So we decided to offer you some of the greatest family resorts in California. We have been in more than 100 lodgings in California alone over some fantastic family holidays over the last 17 years. Some stand out considerably more than others. Here are the finest of the best!
Terranea Resort, Ranchos Palos Verdes
I don’t believe many resorts can compete with Terranea’s elegance. It is in one of the most picturesque locations on the California coast. The resort is extremely lovely, with more than 100 acres of land.
We stayed in a Casita the last time we were there. This three-room casita is ideal for families looking to escape it all. You have a living room, a kitchen, and an indoor and outdoor fireplace for roasting marshmallows. Then you go onto your terrace and take in the breathtaking ocean vista.
The resort has four large pools, one of which features a waterslide. We hired a cabana and listened to music while the kids played in the pool. There is also an adults-only pool with stunning views of the ocean. There are six restaurants on the premises. I recommend Catalina Kitchen for brunch and Nelson’s for happy hour for a beautiful sunset view.
There are also nine holes of golf and various interesting activities like archery, falconry, horseback riding, and more. It is an excellent spot to stay for the whole family. My favorite part of my stay is going for an early morning stroll. The water on the ocean is as smooth as glass, and it’s a perfect way to start the day.
Hotel Del Coronado
The Hotel Del Coronado is located in Coronado, a lovely community only a few miles from a few of San Diego’s most prominent attractions. This sprawling resort is ideal for families and is set to be the most popular in the state. Even though it was constructed in 1888, each of its 679 rooms is spanking new.
Because the accommodations are right on the beach, you can go outside and play in the soft sand or swim in the warm sea. The personnel are excellent, and they will put up umbrellas and chairs on the beach for you for a cost. I highly suggest cooking S’mores on their campfire at night. It will be much better if you do it around sunset.
Oceanside Seabird Resort
The Seabird Resort is an excellent location to stay. This isn’t just another California beachside motel. I loved the apartments, and the view is unrivaled. It doesn’t get much more perfect than that. The rooms have wonderful extras, such as a cozy robe and slippers with a high-end Illy coffee machine, that make your stay much more comfortable.
In addition, the hotel features a spa and a library. Miss Ella went to the library first to browse for books. As previously said, the pool is beautiful, and the spa offers a direct ocean view. We stopped by early in the morning on the day they had to leave to enjoy it one final time.
Huntington’s Waterfront Beach Resort
The Waterfront Resort Town is a Hilton resort in Huntington Beach, a picturesque Southern California community. It has 10 kilometers of white sand and a lovely blue sea. You may hire a cabana, rest on the beach, or participate in watersports such as surfing, kayaking, and other activities.
At The Waterfront Beach Resort, all of these activities are possible. There are several fire pits along the beach for building nighttime bonfires. Huntington Beach also has several nice tiny stores and fantastic restaurants to explore. Regarding the resort, children under four dine for free, a huge benefit.
Fairmont Grand Del Mar
According to Tripadvisor, the Fairmont Grand Del Mar belongs to one of the top five luxury resorts in the United States for families and one of the finest in California. From here, you may take your children to the adjacent San Diego Zoo or Legoland. The hotel is inland, near a gorgeous golf course; it has the perfect California environment, complete with palm palms.
The land is vast, making it ideal for long walks and treks. You might spend the whole day relaxing by one of the many pools or dining at the excellent Amaya restaurant. Take some time to relax at the magnificent resort spa. The Grand Del Mar is a terrific spot to stay after a long day in San Diego, among the most kid-friendly cities in the United States, if you want to feel like a king or queen.
Monarch Beach Resort, Waldorf Astoria
Dana Point is known for its yachting culture, which attracts individuals from all over the globe who desire to live in luxury. Several activities are available, such as surfing, golf, and tasting wines. The Monarch Beach Resort is a short walk from the beach, making it an ideal location for families to enjoy Southern California’s warm, sunny weather.
