Father, in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ, tonight I come under the covering of your word in Psalm 4. Lord, let me lie down in peace, for you alone make me dwell in safety. Let your fire surround my life tonight, in the mighty name of Jesus.
Your word says, “I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.” Father, tonight I take hold of that peace. Every spirit assigned to steal my rest, every dream sent to torment me, every voice of fear speaking into the night, scatter now by fire in Jesus’ mighty name.
Lord Jesus, let your angels take charge over this house tonight — over every room, every door, every window, and every soul under this roof. Let no evil cross this threshold. Let no disaster come near this family.
Your word says, “He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.” Father, every trap laid quietly against me and my household, be uncovered and destroyed tonight by the power of the Holy Ghost. Every dark counsel gathered against my peace, catch fire now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
I plead the blood of Jesus over my life, my breath, and my body. I plead the blood of Jesus over my family, my home, my finances, and my calling. Every spirit of terror, every spirit of heaviness, every spirit of sickness moving in the dark, leave now in the name of Jesus.
Father, let your stillness settle over my spirit tonight. Every anxious thought I have held onto today, I release it into your hands. Let every troubled place in my heart find rest in you.
Your word says, “Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased.” Lord, let joy meet me where struggle has tried to settle. Let your gladness be greater than my circumstances tonight.
As I sleep, carry what I cannot carry. Fight what I cannot fight. Go ahead of me into tomorrow and make the way clear — full of favor, strength, open doors, and good report.
I declare tonight that I shall rest without fear and rise without weight. No scheme against me shall succeed. My peace is guarded. My family is covered. My tomorrow is already held in Christ Jesus.
Thank you, Father, for you neither sleep nor slumber, and even now your eyes are watching over me.
In Jesus’ mighty name, amen.
